  About Us

HI!  Thanks for looking us up!  My name is Jennifer, but most friends call my J.J.  I am the artist in the family, but my little girls are close on my heels!  I have explored all forms of art, mostly as a lifelong hobby, but that all changed when we welcomed our first 2 supermodels (pugs) that came into our home a little over 5 years ago, Minnie and Abbey.  I was battling the news that we weren't going to be able to have any children on our own... so I did the next best thing and adopted...okay, so these kids were a little furrier than my Mom expected.  Jake came later once I had been involved with the Seattle Pug Rescue for a while.  He was rescued (see his story here!) after being abandoned in a field near Kent, Wa.  I spent so much time taking pictures, drawing and painting my little babies that I thought I better make a business out of it.  I could easily see some people feeling that I was turning into the "cat lady"...but with pugs!
Those puggers must have done that relaxation lovey kinda voo-doo that Pugs do because within 6 months of rescuing Jake we found ourselves expecting a new non-furry baby!  And now, 2 years later, we just welcomed our second daughter, Molly.  Pugs have some awesome power!!  They did more in 2 years than the fertility scpecialist did in 12!!
Now that I have a lot on my plate, I decided to pursue my dream of having a home business so that I could stay home and raise my children (non and furry alike!)  and leave the rat race to my husband Kris.  So, here I am.  Marketing a business for a very small niche, be it wonderful, group of people!
What kind of an artist am I?  I am the kind of artist that likes to go against the grain, dance to the beat of a different drummer...nothing new about that huh?!  I like to look for the compassionate, meloncholy and the dramatic in my art.  You can always get a good picture, but sometimes you need to do more to get the REAL reflection of your baby's personality.  And that is what you have from me here.
